Before we get to the current MLBers, let's head over to Asia, where several former Birds serve on the NPO and KBO.
The most prominent of these players is Adam Jones. The former Orioles midfielder was the face of the franchise for a decade. He spent 2019 with thediamond markersbefore signing a two-year, $8 million contract with the Orix Buffaloes of Japan. Unfortunately for Jones, his Buffalos are the worst team in the league, and his .255/.330/.417 slugging lineup isn't particularly impressive.

But the current version ofdylan bundywould do better His recent start botched a string of starts that landed him on the Cy Young thread. Still, his 3.12 ERA and 69 strikeouts in 60.2 innings for theanjosit was impressive
Elsewhere in Californiakevin gausmanhe found his groove with the Giants. His strike rate is a ludicrous 11.62, his career high. The former fourth overall winner of the O's will have a free hand this winter and could be in line for a nice payday.

One player who could have made some money in this abbreviated season is Jonathan Schoop. Bouncing back from a disappointing couple of seasons, he rolled a 114 wRC+ along with a field-improved 2.4 UZR.
A guy who has already received and plays like him is Manny Machado. It was fantastic for the excitingCountry. Machado is hitting .314/.376/.604 with 16 home runs and a 155 wRC+. He will receive and deserve serious MVP consideration.

ricardo diapershe's with the Marlins now and hasn't hit yet (4.38 K/9). But he remains productive, posting a 2.92 ERA in 17 games for his new team.

Sometimes it can be hard to read a list of accomplishments that former players have with different franchises. But this season things are looking a little better. Because? Well, much of this can be attributed to the Orioles' front office. There's a plan, and the fruits of that labor are starting to show on the big league stage. As long as it stays that way, the organization should be able to keep or make the most of the talent that comes through their farm, rather than reading about their accomplishments in a different uniform years later.
